Remus Quad Video Clip

July 10th, 2009 -- by Alex -- Posted in Automobile, BMW | No Comments »

Hey guys, here it is as promised. This is a quick video clip of how the new exhausts sound on the 335i. As you can see, the cut on the bumper is a bit rough, but nothing a new lip or kit wouldn’t hide. Check it out!

It’s starting to get deeper in the cabin, but nothing too extreme. The stock exhaust sound was great already but now it sounds like it’s going to hunt and eat M3s for lunch!

    Remus Quad Exhausts

What’s going on guys? It’s been a while since we made a modification on the 335i. So, today, we installed a quad exhaust from Remus. Check it out.

Installation was a bit more complicated than most. The reason being the cutting of the rear bumper to accommodate the extra pair of exhaust tips. Since the 335i is bound to be modded some more, we used a simple saw-saw to cut the bumper. We then smoothed out the edges with a heavy duty file. Not too shabby right?

Stay tuned for a video sound clip!

      Cannondale F700

May 6th, 2009 -- by Alex -- Posted in Bicycle, Cannondale | No Comments »

What’s going on guys? Like I said before, we here at Lex Racing ride, race, and modify anything on wheels. With the world economy the way it is, we have shifted our attention to mountain bikes, or all terrain bikes, as they are sometimes called.

What you see here is my current project. It’s a 2000 Cannondale F700, which retailed for $1275. The current upgrades includes a Serfas cutout seat, a Cateye computer, SPD pedals, Race Face chain rings, aluminum chain ring bolts, and Ringle Titanium skewers. The specs include: Small size frame, Matte Black finish, Shimano XT front and rear derailleurs, and Shimano LX rapidfire shifters.

The bike also has a Magura front disc brake and a Fatty DL Headshok! The rear is set up for a disc brake should I want to add it later on It’s really a great, higher end mountain bike!

Okay guys. Stay tuned for more!

What’s up guys? Here is a quick picture of Frank installing the Remus Exhaust system on my M Roadster. You can see the difference immediately between the stock system and the Remus.

The weight savings are incredible. I would guess 25 pounds lighter, each side!

Alright guys, stay tuned for video clips of the new system! Be sure to check out our online store up top!

          The Ultimate Racing School

          February 14th, 2009 -- by Alex -- Posted in Automobile | 1 Comment »

What’s going on guys? Today I wanted to let you guys know about the most amazing fun the Lex Racing team has ever had! As a “thank you,” one of our corporate sponsors arranged for us to drive around the Donington Park course in supercars!

The package was put together by the Racing School, the original UK based track racing venue for all types of driving experience. They are the only racing driving experience to be on accredited MSA (official motoring racing circuit) tracks. Their Driving Experience Days cater to large groups for parties as well as other events.

We were able drive a Ferrari 360, a Lotus, a Porsche, or a V8 super car around the track. Before I tell you how much fun we had, let me tell you a bit about the company.

Whether you want to buy a one-off driving gift for a loved one, or if you’re looking for an intensive race driving program, The Racing School will exceed your expectations. Take our word for it! Supercars not your thing? They have a wide range of experiences ranging from 4X4 Driving Experience, skid training, tuition for under 17’s and passenger rides… for those who dare!

Please browse their list of driving experiences, and book online now! I have got to say, that it was the ultimate driving experience. I had a smile on my face the entire day, and for a week afterwards! I look forward to trying their other programs. The go carts look like tons of fun. I believe they are powered by twin engines that launch them up to 70 mph! It is either that or the Formula 1 race cars!

Alright guys, go try them out and report back here!

Volk CE28N Wheels with Nitto Tires

February 12th, 2009 -- by GooDy -- Posted in Automobile, Nissan | No Comments »

What’s up guys? Here is a close up picture of my new Volk CE28N in 19. I had them painted white, with a red stripe. Nicely matches the red lug nuts right? The CE28N’s are forged monoblock aluminum wheels, making them very light weight.

The weight of each rim is around 16 lbs. for 19 inch. With this kind of lightness and durability, it is no surprise to see that this wheel is a very coveted wheel among enthusiasts.

            Volks

Here is also a shot of the carbon fiber trunk I had installed. Transferring the stock window was a job best left to the professionals. Wouldn’t want any leaks now, would we?

So, what do you think? Coming along nicely? Stay tuned for more!

              Carbon Fiber Doors and Hood

              February 5th, 2009 -- by GooDy -- Posted in Automobile, Nissan | 3 Comments »

Hey guys! What’s going on? As promised, I am here to show you the carbon fiber pieces I picked up for the 350Z. Check it out! I changed the door panels as well as the hood. Looks good right?

I took a chance and got these off an eBay vendor. They actually fit perfectly. The carbon weave is clean and the clear coat is smooth. I opted for the double vented hood as well as the 2008 hood bulge. Check it out!

You probably saw the new rims already too. I’ll talk about those next time! Peace!

                Breyton GTSR Wheels

                February 3rd, 2009 -- by Alex -- Posted in Automobile, BMW | 2 Comments »

How’s it going guys? The first modification to the E92, is the rims. What you are looking at are the Breyton GSTR wheels in silver. To preserve the gas mileage, we kept the size in 18 inches. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately they are wrapped in cheap ass Continental tires. My god, are they horrible. The steering wheel vibrates at high speeds.

                Breyton

Oh well, with the economy the way it is, mind as well just grit it and use the tires till the next change.

                Breyton

All right, stay tuned guys! Be sure to check out our store!

                  Ac Schnitzer Front Splitters

January 28th, 2009 -- by Alex -- Posted in Automobile, BMW | No Comments »

We installed the Ac Schnitzer front splitters on the M Roadster today. It really gives the car a more aggressive stance, don’t you think? We had to paint the splitters to match.

                  Stay tuned for more modifications!

                    TrafficPro Navagation System

January 21st, 2009 -- by Alex -- Posted in Automobile, BMW | No Comments »

Hey guys! Interestingly enough the first modification to the M Roadster is not a Remus exhaust system (gasp!). It is actually a TrafficPro navigation system. They normally make systems for Ferrari’s but made a few for BMW a decade ago. Unfortunately the account went to Harmon Karmon, and TrafficPro got stuck with a few hundred BMW badged units. I’m sure if you did a search online, you could still find NIB units for around $400 USD.

                    Photobucket

The system takes you turn by turn through your car’s speaker system. I have mine set to a female voice with a British accent. Yes, yes, I know. How 007 of me. “The name’s Bond, James Bond.”

                    Stay tuned for more modifications!
